This cutting is one of the four main squares in the impressive large-scale excavation of the Long Mound in CH90 and 91. It covers the Northern flank with Sacred Slabs and boundary ditch, with the upward slope of the valley marking on edge of the cutting. Plan 4 shows the underlying Cairn and ditch well.
