The central part of the Short Mound. This enigmatic monument occupies a level shelf somewhat below the main Sacred Circle plateau. It runs from the SE to NW of this square, with a transverse baulk on these plans. Much like the Long Mound, there are sacred slabs down the flanks of the soil mound.
