A controversial cutting. As the slope increases beyond the Sacred Circle the line of the Neolithic causewayed enclosure returns. The bank appears to be in this square, and perhaps this striking geometric arrangement is structure within it. However this was not seen elsewhere in the bank, so it may be natural bedrock.
