Half this square was buried by the Long Mound and runs onto the  soft gull bedrock which preserved many small features. The other half, on the right of this picture, is on the slope of the Long Mound valley, with few features and harder bedrock. There are posts and other remnants of both Iron Age and Neolithic buildings.
