Perhaps the most prominent feature in this cutting is the ditch, about 40cms deep, running diagonally across the NE corner of the square. The large dark areas appear to be Neolithic hut platforms, and there are postholes and a hearth (F08129) too. This suggest this was a main area of Neolithic settlement.
