Following the extensive opening of the centre of the Neolithic enclosure in 1976, there was still little evidence of settlement. This cutting is to the East of that big area, closer to the Eastern entrance, but still revealed little in the way of Neolithic settlement that had been hoped for. The few features were inconclusive.
