After two years concentrating on the Iron Age, CH71 saw the first exploratory cuttings in the interior. The site chosen for these cuttings was on the edge of the flat area subsequently found to be covered in structures. Only a few features here, but fortunately enough to prompt a much bigger opening in CH72.
